Unexpected Encounter on a Roof
Finding animal droppings on your roof is definitely not a pleasant surprise. I mean, who thinks, “Oh, there’s a strange someone on my roof—let’s buy a lottery ticket”? It’s usually not a sign that everything’s going great.
At least, if you spot some leaves up there, it doesn’t generally mean there’s a mountain lion lurking nearby… at least, not most of the time.
In Pasadena, one resident, Bill Dabney, experienced an unsettling moment when he discovered feces on the roof of his guesthouse, leading to an unexpected brush with wildlife.
“I looked up and saw poop on the roof,” he recounted, noting it looked like “four separate stools.” It’s funny, I don’t usually delve into numerology, but four stools? I mean, that could mean some sort of warning… or perhaps just a cat with bad aim. Just saying, numerology has its nuances.
However, this particular incident might have signaled something more urgent. After spotting the droppings, Dabney turned around to find a mountain lion staring right at him.
Now, it’s hard to believe that four distinct piles of poop on a roof could just randomly coincide with a big cat encounter. What are the odds? Unless, of course, we’re in some bizarre simulation glitching out on us.
It wasn’t like this mountain lion was just passing through, perhaps looking to chat or ask for distance. It was something else entirely.
“He was in position mode like he was about to jump out,” Dabney recalled, which understandably sent him running. “Let’s go!” he exclaimed as he made a quick exit.
Interestingly, a few days later, another mountain lion was spotted in the area, but it remains uncertain if it was the same animal.
Honestly, if you tend to forget your belongings at guesthouses, it makes one wonder what might happen next.
