‘Seen across our nation’: Vance’s task force reveals billions in fraud — featuring one fatal incident

Health Care Fraud Case Highlighted by Vice President

During a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Vice President J.D. Vance brought attention to a disturbing incident of health care fraud in Minnesota, where an elderly individual reportedly died after not receiving proper care from a fraudulent provider.

President Donald Trump expressed his pride in the work of the White House Task Force to Combat Fraud, which Vance leads, pointing out that the initiative has uncovered billions in fraudulent activities.

“We believe there are tens of thousands of people collecting money under false pretenses, claiming to care for individuals, but, in reality, are not providing that care,” he stated.

Trump mentioned that in just the last couple of months, the task force has recovered tens of billions of taxpayer dollars, initiated numerous prosecutions, and halted billions in questionable payments. “You haven’t seen anything yet,” he added.

The report presented by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche alongside Vance revealed that millions of taxpayer dollars had been misappropriated. Trump remarked, “I’ve never seen such a situation. Hundreds of billions have been stolen, and no other administration has addressed this like we are. They just allowed it to happen while others profited. We may even save Social Security just by taking a stand.”

Vance expressed his gratitude to Trump for his leadership and vowed that the task force would expose “many more” fraudulent activities. He emphasized that fraud impacts two main victims: American taxpayers and those in genuine need of government benefits who are being denied due to deceit.

He also recounted instances where elderly individuals allegedly passed away because they weren’t receiving appropriate care, yet those responsible continued to collect benefits funded by taxes.

Recently, the Ministry of Justice confirmed charges against an individual involved in a $1.4 million fraud scheme for billing services that were never provided. A press release noted that one beneficiary, requiring round-the-clock care, was found dead a day after being billed for services he didn’t receive.

Vance remarked during the cabinet meeting, “This kind of fraud is likely occurring repeatedly across the nation.”
