Receiver from the Patriots shares shocking post on social media

Shortly after the Patriots wrapped up their second day of organized team activities (OTAs) on Wednesday, Kyle Williams, a second-year wide receiver, took to social media to voice his early frustrations.

In an Instagram Story featuring a picture of him at his locker, Williams wrote, “There’s no way OTAs feel like training camp. No, it’s only the second day???”

His feelings seemed to resonate with some fans, as one user shared Williams’ thoughts on Twitter, quoting him: “I never thought OTA would feel like a training camp 🤦🏽‍♂️. It’s only the second day, right?”

This comes after a tumultuous offseason for the Patriots, highlighted by coach Mike Vrabel’s personal scandal and rumors swirling around a potential trade for Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown.

Despite the distractions, it’s clear that, as reigning AFC champions, the Patriots need to refocus and get back to the game.

Entering his second season as head coach, Vrabel aims to rejuvenate the team culture, having previously played with the Patriots for eight years and securing three Super Bowl victories with them under Bill Belichick, who is the most successful coach in the team’s history.

Interestingly, the Patriots will miss both Belichick and Vrabel as Jerod Mayo is slated to take over as head coach for a year in 2024.

Vrabel faces the challenge of restoring what fans often refer to as the “Patriot Way.” Even with distractions away from the field this offseason, he seems to be emphasizing a rigorous practice approach.

As for Williams, he was drafted in the third round by the Patriots in 2025. Currently, he stands third on the wide receiver depth chart, trailing only Keishon Boutte and Mack Hollins.

Last season, Williams participated in 17 regular-season games, recording ten receptions for 209 yards and three touchdowns.
