Threats Made Against Erica Kirk

A man from Texas was apprehended on Wednesday for allegedly threatening to kill Erica Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, during an upcoming event. This information comes from various reports and court documents.

The San Antonio police have charged Jacob Wenske, 26, for making online threats against Erica Kirk, who participated in the Women’s Leadership Summit back in June. Allegedly, Wenske expressed a desire to see “all Christian nationalists” like her dead, reflecting a disturbing ideology linked to the assassination of Charlie Kirk in September.

Reports indicate that Wenske’s alarming posts included statements like, “Death to Erica Kirk and all the speakers there!! America could live without the scum of this planet.” He added, “All Christian nationalists will die in the bombings that will occur at every Turning Point rally and event.”

Furthermore, police reports note that Wenske claimed, “We know exactly where to bomb.” His attorney has not provided any comments to media inquiries regarding the situation. Wenske faces charges of terroristic threats and was held on a $60,000 bail.

In a related incident, authorities arrested a 23-year-old man, Tyler Robinson, in September for allegedly shooting Charlie Kirk at a Utah Valley University event. Robinson reportedly targeted Kirk due to his conservative views, making troubling comments to Kirk’s family.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk has ignited widespread demands for accountability surrounding political violence. An earlier video also showed Erica Kirk fleeing the White House Correspondents’ Dinner when a gunman attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump.

Turning Point USA released a statement emphasizing the seriousness of threats, stating that they work closely with law enforcement to address any potential dangers. They expressed gratitude to the San Antonio Police Department and the FBI for their swift actions in apprehending Wenske. The safety of their participants, speakers, and staff remains a priority, with multiple layers of security implemented at all events.

In light of these threats, TPUSA affirmed their commitment to not being silenced and looks forward to a successful Women’s Leadership Summit, expecting over 2,500 women to attend in San Antonio from June 5th to 7th.
