Mackenzie Shirilla and her mother laugh about the worldwide media coverage, hinting that Kim Kardashian might reach out, during a troubling prison conversation.

Recently released jail phone calls reveal that Mackenzie Cirilla, known for a double murder, and her mother were joking about the attention they’ve garnered globally, seemingly excited about the prospect of mingling with celebrities.

This exchange was recorded in 2023 while Cirilla, aged 20, was serving time for deliberately driving her car into a wall, which resulted in the deaths of her ex-girlfriend, Dominic Russo, and friend, Davion Flanagan.

Instead of displaying any signs of guilt, Cirilla seemed to enjoy the media spotlight on her crime, even claiming she expected to be approached by stars like Kim Kardashian, and expressed ambitions to break into Hollywood.

“So, is it really on all over the world now? Is the ‘Today’ show considered national news?” Cirilla asked her mother from prison.

Natalie Cirilla excitedly responded, “You won’t believe it! A book was published in England.”

Surprised, Mackenzie asked, “What?” to which her mother gleefully confirmed, “Yes!”

“This is world news, right?” Mackenzie said, as her mother continued to laugh.

The two began to discuss their potential fame. “Maybe Kim Kardashian will come to help us,” Mackenzie speculated.

Her mother replied, “Exactly! I hope that happens.”

“I’m really looking forward to this,” Natalie said, “It’s perfect timing. I was going to pursue this anyway.”

Mackenzie, clearly absorbed in her desire for attention, suggested to her mother, “Then you should just call me.”

Her mother reacted with bemusement, saying, “That’s wild, baby.”

Kardashian has previously supported inmates who she deemed unjustly incarcerated or rehabilitated. However, a source close to Kardashian noted that she would not back Mackenzie, indicating this was not a situation she would support.

In a different prison call, Natalie, drawing public ire for being overly defensive about her daughter’s actions, suggested Mackenzie start writing a book.

“You need to hear what I’m saying,” she insisted.

Two former inmates confirmed that Mackenzie’s hunger for fame was evident even among her peers. She reportedly carried herself like a celebrity and dreamed of being an “It Girl” behind bars.

“She said she plans to live it up once she’s out,” Shanann Topping, who dated Mackenzie for a short time in prison, recounted.

“She talked about going to concerts, traveling, becoming an influencer, and eventually writing a book about her experiences,” she added. Topping predicted that if Mackenzie were released early, she would show indifference to the victims’ families.

The killer has received two concurrent 15-year sentences but is appealing one of the convictions.

Both former inmates also mentioned that Mackenzie never exhibited remorse for her teenage victims.

In another prison call, Mackenzie was heard fantasizing about her crimes. “Remember that guy arrested for murder who became famous for his mug shot? Everyone thought he was attractive,” she recalled.

“Oh, yeah, he was hot,” laughed Natalie in response.

“He’s an actor, but without any work right now. I saw him in a movie,” Mackenzie continued.

During the conversation, she insisted her mother change her Instagram handle to “#freekenzie,” even though Natalie seemed hesitant.

“Don’t forget to switch up your Instagram profile, Mom. Log in and change your name,” Mackenzie urged.

Natalie responded, “Kenzie, you might be feeling off right now.”

Natalie was unavailable for further comment.
