Peter Doocy Announces Third Child
On Sunday, FOX News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy shared exciting personal news: he and his wife, Hilary Vaughn, are expecting their third child. Doocy, who has reported on the White House since President Trump’s tenure ended in 2021, is known for his exchanges with both President Biden and various press secretaries, including Jen Psaki and Karine Jean-Pierre.
During the Sunday Briefing, Doocy, 38, revealed that his wife, who is 36, is pregnant. He mentioned, “And finally, there’s some family news. This corner we were just doing is aimed at America’s youngest citizens, and we have two at home. You see George on the left and Bridget on the right. Okay, here’s the Fox News alert. Another alert is on the way. My wife Hilary is pregnant.”
He added a personal touch, noting that their new arrival is expected around his father’s birthday, hinting at the joy of becoming a family of five. Doocy remarked, “This little bundle of joy will be in time for mid-term coverage on Sunday Briefing.”
Doocy’s daughter, Bridget, was born in February 2023, and their son, George, followed in April 2025.
While Doocy has gained attention on social media for his confrontations with the Biden administration, he’s also remembered for a few memorable moments involving wildlife, particularly from his time during Trump’s presidency. One notable incident occurred in April 2025 when a pigeon landed on his head during a live broadcast as he discussed tariffs with China and a water dispute with Mexico. Another incident took place in May 2025, when he had another run-in with a bird while reporting on Trump’s directive to reopen Alcatraz.
Doocy confirmed that their third child is due in November.
