One of his main points of contention is the absence of a “1A” player on the Knicks roster, which he believes poses a challenge in their quest for a championship.

Green reiterated his stance, asserting that his opinion hasn’t wavered. He emphatically stated, “And I’ll double down on this. Like Becky Hammon said, prove me wrong. Getting out of the East has never been a guaranteed path to a championship.” He elaborated, questioning the validity of merely exiting the Eastern Conference as an indicator of success in the Finals.

“What are you talking about? You’re out of the East because you’re supposed to be out of the East. It’s the East, of course, you’re supposed to be out of the East,” Green added, expressing skepticism about the Knicks’ standing.

He ended his remarks on a positive note, mentioning his happiness for Mike Brown, indicating a mix of competitive spirit and genuine support for colleagues in the league.

Green’s comments come on the heels of a previous discussion featuring Becky Hammon, a well-respected coach currently with the Las Vegas Aces. She had pointed out the Knicks’ strengths while noting their lack of a player considered to be “1A” and described Brunson as “too small.”
