Malik Nabors Involved in Road Incident
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabors, 22, recently found himself at the center of a police stop in Paramus, New Jersey, related to a reported road rage incident. The situation escalated when a driver, believed to be Nabors or someone in a similar vehicle, allegedly displayed a firearm during the altercation.
When police conducted a search of Nabors’ car, they found no weapon and ultimately did not issue any citation. Reports indicate that he was cleared as the person they were searching for and was allowed to leave the scene. However, it remains uncertain whether authorities have identified or located the individual involved in the incident.
Currently, Nabors is focusing on his recovery from a torn ACL, which he sustained during a game last season against the Los Angeles Chargers. He has undergone two surgeries on his knee—initially for ACL and meniscal repair, followed by another surgery in the spring to remove scar tissue that was causing stiffness. Thankfully, the second procedure is not expected to alter his recovery timeline.
Before his injury, Nabors was on track for a standout sophomore season, registering 18 catches for 271 yards and two touchdowns across four games. As a rookie, he set a franchise record with 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns, despite facing challenges from inconsistent quarterback performance.
The Giants are counting on Nabors to continue his development as their top wide receiver, especially after reshuffling their receiver lineup this offseason. In an effort to strengthen their receiving corps, they secured Darnell Mooney and Calvin Austin III, along with high-profile signings like Odell Beckham Jr., JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Braxton Berrios, in case Nabors is unable to participate at the start of the upcoming season.
