Three-Wheeler Collides with Audi in San Francisco

On Wednesday, a shocking incident occurred at an intersection in San Francisco when an electric three-wheeled vehicle crashed into an Audi, resulting in a chaotic scene.

According to the police, several individuals sustained injuries, and both vehicles were significantly damaged in the accident near the Panhandle area of the city.

The San Francisco Fire Department issued a statement saying, “Four people were taken to the hospital with injuries ranging from minor to moderate at the Baker/Hayes Street intersection. Please avoid the area while SFPD conducts their investigation.” This was shared around noon on the same day.

The footage starts with two pedestrians approaching the crosswalk. Suddenly, a black Audi rolls into view, appearing to glide past until it was struck on the side by a three-wheeled Arcimoto FUV, which is a two-seater, electric vehicle designed for fun.

The collision propelled the driver of the Audi across the street, where he tumbled before landing on the ground, while the other person in the electric vehicle remained inside.

As the Audi’s airbags deployed in response to the impact, the passengers inside were thrown around, almost hitting a nearby pedestrian.

In the end, one of the pedestrians rushed over in concern for the injured passenger who was ejected from the electric vehicle.

While the Audi exhibited severe damage, particularly to the rear driver’s side door, the three-wheeled vehicle seemed less impaired. Officers cordoned off the vicinity with yellow tape, and it’s uncertain what the current situation is regarding the passengers’ conditions.

The Arcimoto FUV, launched in 2019, markets itself as “faster, more fun, and more versatile than anything else on the market.” It’s categorized as a motorized bicycle, making it legal to operate on California roads.
