Chief of Staff Refutes Resignation Rumors

Susie Wiles, the White House Chief of Staff, firmly dismissed rumors on Friday night suggesting she would resign after the upcoming midterm elections, labeling the report a “hoax.”

In a strong public rebuttal posted to X, Wiles, 69, responded to an article from the Daily Mail that implied her resignation was related to recent disagreements with President Trump regarding cabinet appointments.

“Let me be clear: I am not going anywhere,” Wiles asserted. “I am honored and proud to serve President Trump, am proud of our team, and remain committed to advancing President Trump’s policies on behalf of the American people.”

She criticized the media for what she described as a decade of “manufacturing drama” around the President.

“They were wrong then and they are wrong now,” she added.

The disputed report cited sources stating that Wiles was unhappy about Trump’s choice of Florida real estate executive Bill Pelt as the acting director of national intelligence, claiming Wiles was “totally opposed” to the appointment.

Conversely, the article suggested that Trump had grown increasingly frustrated with Wiles’ management style. Wiles refuted these allegations, calling them “completely false and defamatory.”

Wiles insisted, “Mr. Trump has chosen the best people for his administration, and we are all working together to advance his policies.” She also expressed support for Pelt, noting his experience at the FHFA and expressing confidence that he would approach his new role with energy and determination.

A veteran of Trump’s inner circle, Wiles has been involved with the president since the beginning of his first campaign in 2015. She served as CEO of the Save America PAC from 2019 to 2020 and later became co-campaign manager for his successful 2024 presidential campaign.

This March, Wiles revealed she had been diagnosed with “early stage breast cancer.” In her statement about the diagnosis, she reflected on the challenges faced by many women with similar conditions.

“Every day, these women continue to raise their families, go to work, and serve their communities with strength and determination, and now I join them,” she noted, expressing gratitude toward her medical team for their early detection and guidance, as well as her encouragement from a favorable prognosis.
