"Appreciation for President Trump": D.C. Reflecting Pool Impresses After Trump Upgrades

Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C. Surprises Critics

A reflecting pool in Washington, D.C. is garnering attention, particularly from those who have been skeptical of its restoration. Criticism has come from various corners, especially the radical left, but the Trump administration is pushing back against what it sees as unwarranted negativity.

Media outlets have frequently jumped on the bandwagon, with some discussing details as trivial as the shade of blue selected for the pool’s base. An article even referenced a “color consultant” who described the chosen hue as “very gruesome.”

According to Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, the previous administration attempted to close the pool for two years, planning to allocate a staggering $38 million for its restoration. Yet, this effort fell short. The Trump administration’s approach is far more comprehensive, involving the draining of the pool, sandblasting, repairing pipes and bubblers, and reintroducing color. Burgum mentioned that the bottom had turned gray over time, and the American flag blue was chosen for a fresh look.

Images showcasing the nearly finished pool have been shared widely on social media, and reactions have been mostly positive. One social media user expressed excitement after visiting, saying, “It’s really beautiful. Thank you, Donald Trump, for helping rebuild our nation’s capital!”

In another clip, a once-skeptical woman openly shared her appreciation for the revamped pool’s appearance.

“Water is moving, reflecting pools are reflecting, and Washington, D.C. is looking better than ever,” the White House proclaimed. “We’re back again. Thank you, President Trump.”

During an interview, Secretary Burgum emphasized the many elements involved in the renovation, praising the expertise guiding the project. He noted that before the renovation, the pool was losing an alarming 45,000 gallons of water a day. “With President Trump, we have someone who understands complex construction projects and genuinely appreciates construction workers,” he said.
