Former Vice President Kamala Harris is featured in a Netflix documentary titled American Experiment, which has sparked discussions about a potential presidential run.

The documentary is set to debut on June 24th, posing the question, “Can this experiment endure?”
According to its description on Netflix’s YouTube channel, “As we near the 250th anniversary of the United States, the five-part series ‘The American Experiment’ revisits the unlikely success of the nation’s founding and tackles the central question of the revolution: Can the populace govern itself?”
“Featuring a diverse array of perspectives—from former vice presidents and Cabinet members to current and former Congress members, justices, historians, tribal leaders, military analysts, and influential thinkers across the political landscape—this series engages in a bipartisan, well-informed dialogue about the roots and future of American democracy. It follows the drafting of the Constitution, the inauguration of the first president, and the revolutionary period. By reflecting on these years, ‘The American Experiment’ delves into the complexities of slavery, freedom, personal rights, and minority representation, exploring how American democracy has been shaped, tested, and reimagined over 250 years.” It continues, “Cinematic and compelling, ‘The American Experiment’ highlights debates that have defined our country and still influence it today, raising a vital question amid current divisions: Will this remarkable experiment last?”
As reported recently, Kamala Harris and Vice President J.D. Vance are leading current polls for the 2028 presidential nomination.
Recent surveys show Harris at 37% and Vance at 38% for the 2028 race. Secretary of State Marco Rubio follows closely at 18%, while Donald Trump’s son, Don Jr., holds 10%. Rubio has expressed that he would back Vance’s potential bid, but Don Jr. is not likely to enter the race. If we consider Rubio and Don Jr.’s numbers combined with Vance’s, it seems Vance gains a strong backing of about 66% from Republicans.
As of now, Kamala Harris has not made any announcements regarding a presidential campaign.
