Legal Activist Asserts, Lacking Proof, That Karmelo Anthony's Prosecutor 'Deceived Throughout this Trial... Presented Liars as Witnesses'

A legal activist has criticized the family of Austin Metcalfe, referring to them as “pigs,” after Carmelo Anthony received a 35-year prison sentence for the stabbing death of the 17-year-old.

During a discussion on roland martin unfiltered, podcaster Thelma Anderson urged listeners to “pray for Anthony’s family,” according to a report from daily mail.

Anderson also expressed that the Anthony family had experienced a form of “legal lynching” over the past year and claimed that the Metcalfe family displayed “hateful” behavior.

“First and foremost, I ask everyone to pray for the Anthony family, who were legally lynched last year,” Anderson stated.

Anderson went on to criticize the Metcalfe family, linking them to what he described as “very white supremacist” sentiments and continued to call them “hateful pigs.”

These remarks followed Anthony’s sentencing this past Tuesday.

Paul Bois from Breitbart News reported that Anthony, now 19, was seen in tears while his attorneys offered support. His sentencing came after a conviction for the murder of Metcalf “during a track meet in Frisco, Texas.”

fox news reported that an arrest warrant from April 2025 revealed details about the confrontation prior to the stabbing, noting that Metcalf had told Anthony to leave the Memorial High School athletics tent.

The arrest warrant, which was obtained by Fox News, detailed that witnesses informed Frisco police of the incident after Metcalf told Anthony he needed to exit the team tent. It was reported that Anthony “grabbed the bag, opened it, put his hand inside,” and threatened, “Touch it and see what happens.”

“Austin stood up and pushed the man out of the tent,” the arrest report noted.

The next moment, a witness recounted that Anthony pulled a knife from his bag and stabbed Austin.

Geoff Metcalfe, Austin’s father, reportedly insisted that Anthony “look her in the eye” while discussing his son’s murder, as stated by daily mail.

“You’re going to go to jail,” Jeff Metcalfe stated. “You can’t even look me in the eye right now, but you can stab my son in the heart.” He also shared that the loss of his son had “destroyed” him.
