Tarek and Heather El Moussa Experience Home Break-In

Tarek and Heather El Moussa expressed feelings of being “violated” after a break-in occurred at their Southern California residence while they were on vacation.

The incident took place earlier this week at their Newport Beach home as Heather was away in Mexico with family.

Authorities reported that they responded to a burglary call near the Mariners Community on June 8, shortly after 6 p.m.

According to officials, while the couple was out, unknown individuals accessed the backyard, broke the sliding glass door, and entered the home.

The suspects reportedly rummaged through the master bedroom closet before escaping through the backyard and onto the front yard.

A source close to the couple mentioned that some jewelry had been stolen during the break-in.

Police indicated that the invasion likely happened between the early hours of June 6 and June 8.

Currently, the Newport Beach Police Department has not identified any suspects in this case.

The El Moussas shared their reactions to the incident on social media on Tuesday.

Heather posted on her Instagram Story, expressing her frustration with “cruel and heartless” individuals. She mentioned, “Both Tarek and I feel violated and it’s honestly very sad. I’m taking a few days off, but I’ll be right back to explain.”

She reassured followers, saying, “We are safe and our children are safe.”

The couple welcomed their son Tristan in January 2023. Tarek was previously married to Christina Haak for seven years, and they co-parent two children, Taylor and Brayden, continuing to work together on HGTV’s “The Flip Off” after their divorce.
