White House responds to Ariana Grande about her music in ICE deportation video

The White House responded to Ariana Grande on Thursday after she criticized the Trump administration for using her song in a video related to immigration arrests.

White House Press Secretary Abigail Jackson told Fox News Digital, “What is truly barbaric, inhumane, and heinous are these criminal illegal aliens who have harmed and killed innocent American citizens.”

This week, the 32-year-old singer expressed her disapproval of the administration’s use of her song “Bye” in the video. She highlighted on social media, “Please never use my music in connection with this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense,” as one commenter added their own frustration.

The video caption stated, “Goodbye. President Trump has created the most secure border in history.”

By Thursday, it seemed the audio from the song had been stripped from the video.

Previously, in September, Grande made a post on Instagram mentioning that “immigrants have been violently torn from their families and their communities have been destroyed.”

She also took part in the Women’s March shortly after Trump took office in 2017 and spoke out against transgender bathroom bans via social media.

In a previous year, Grande addressed Trump’s legal issues, particularly regarding his 34 felony convictions tied to the Stormy Daniels hush money situation. She shared a protest sign that asked, “Can someone please explain to me which crimes get me deported and which ones get me elected president? I’m so confused.”

Moreover, she had previously backed Kamala Harris during the presidential campaign and performed for Barack Obama at the White House in 2014.

FOX News Digital has sought comment from Grande’s representative.
