Hollywood is buzzing as some of its biggest stars show up for Team USA’s World Cup opener against Paraguay.
This past Friday, Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx was seen wearing an orange beanie while arriving at SoFi Stadium alongside comedy legend Vince Vaughn. Other notable attendees included Owen Wilson, Halle Berry, and Teyana Taylor.
Singer Shabzi, famous for his hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” attended the match too, sporting jeans and a dark T-shirt.
Joining the crowd were talk show host Guillermo from “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and singer Becky G. Interestingly, Becky G co-owns Angel City FC, a women’s pro soccer team in Los Angeles, and is dedicated to empowering young Latino athletes.
Paris Hilton turned heads in a red and white striped top, clearly inspired by Team USA.
Jackson Dart, fresh off preparations for his rookie season with the Giants, also made an appearance at the game alongside Marissa Ayers.
In an amusing twist, Elmo made an unexpected cameo on FOX’s pregame show, sharing his excitement about the event. He told Carissa Thompson, “It’s been amazing. Everyone’s been really nice and taught me about football.” When asked for advice for the U.S. team, he simply said, “Do your best.”
Rob Lowe and Jameis Winston were also spotted mingling in the crowd. Additionally, Michael Rubin, CEO of Fanatics, was present as well. His company has taken significant steps in partnering with FIFA for this year’s tournament.
Since missing out on the 2018 World Cup in Russia, this is the second consecutive time the U.S. Men’s National Team has qualified for the tournament. They had a challenging time in Qatar, where they were eliminated in the round of 16 by the Netherlands. However, hopes are high for this new generation of players as they start their journey at home under coach Mauricio Pochettino.
