Jalen Brunson’s Lighthearted SVU Remark After NBA Finals Win

After leading the New York Knicks to victory against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the 2026 NBA Finals, Jalen Brunson shared a humorous take on his future plans. When asked about his next steps, he joked, “Go for a ride and go see SVU,” referencing the popular show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, as seen in an Instagram clip.

Following the game, Mariska Hargitay, who stars as detective Olivia Benson on the long-running series, posted a nostalgic picture of Brunson as a child, sporting an NBA shirt and holding a basketball. “You found a way,” the caption read, along with praise for his achievement: “And you are a guide for many. Congratulations to everyone and a big thank you. #NBAFINALS Captain @jalenbrunson1 @nyknicks Champion #Believe.”

Hargitay’s connection to the Knicks runs deep; she’s been a loyal fan, often seen at games, and has attended several this season, including the Eastern Conference Finals. Brunson has expressed his fondness for Hargitay, noting that he always looks for her in the stands at Madison Square Garden.

During an earlier appearance on “The Richard Jefferson Show,” he openly shared his admiration, calling himself Hargitay’s “No. 1.” She has also been frequently spotted celebrating the Knicks’ successes, including moments captured with her friend Taylor Swift when they celebrated a previous win.

It seems Hargitay truly enjoyed the Knicks’ triumph, describing it as a thrilling win and playfully suggesting it might overshadow even her wedding day—a testament to her dedication to the team and its players.
