Todd Chrisley Discusses Presidential Pardon on Podcast

On an upcoming episode of “Hangout with Sean Hannity,” hosted by FOX News’s Sean Hannity, Todd and Julie Chrisley share their personal experiences following a pardon from former President Donald Trump. Todd recounts the powerful moment he learned of his pardon while still incarcerated, reflecting on his emotional response and the expedited process that led to his release. This podcast preview emphasizes their journey since facing legal issues.

Todd Chrisley described the moment he found out he was pardoned, recalling a touching phone call with his daughter Savannah that changed everything for them. “I cried and asked, ‘Really?’ and she responded, ‘I started crying too,’” he recounted.

While returning from the prison library, a corrections officer approached him to deliver the news of his impending release.

Savannah later confirmed Todd’s pardon news while she was leaving a store, focused on organizing logistics to bring both parents home, as she coordinated a plan to ensure her mother, Julie, who was also serving time, could be picked up as well.

For years, Savannah championed her parents’ cause, becoming their most prominent advocate during their combined 19-year prison sentence. The Chrisleys had received a pardon in May 2025, after having spent approximately two and a half years behind bars, all the while maintaining their innocence.

Savannah expressed her astonishment to reporters about the suddenness of the pardon, explaining, “I was so shocked and awed that the president himself took the time to tell me my family would be back together.”

Todd also made a light-hearted remark about prison officials’ reactions to the pardon, joking that even those who might have been politically opposed to Trump were grateful that he resolved what they deemed a significant problem—namely, him.
