The 2026 U.S. Open Golf Tournament kicks off today, June 18th.

This event marks the third of the four major tournaments in the PGA Tour season, right after the Masters and the PGA Championship.

Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, situated at the eastern tip of Long Island, will host the U.S. Open for the sixth time in its 126-year legacy.

This year, Rory McIlroy is chasing his second major title of the year, having won the Masters in May. Meanwhile, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is still looking for his first U.S. Open victory, which is the last significant win required for a career Grand Slam.

This tournament was last held at Shinnecock Hills in 2018, and interestingly, Brooks Koepka, the champion of that year, is also participating this time around.

Here’s what you need to know about the 2026 U.S. Open, including viewing options and tee times.
