Stephen Curry Draws a Crowd at South San Francisco Costco
Wherever Stephen Curry goes around the San Francisco area, it seems like fans inevitably follow. Recently, he was seen at a Costco in South San Francisco, not far from the airport, where he was promoting his new whiskey brand, Gentleman’s Cut Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
“I just wanted to say hello to you guys,” Curry greeted the enthusiastic crowd of Golden State Warriors fans. They responded with cheers and chants of his name, creating a lively atmosphere.
As he made his way through the gathering, he took time to greet a fan, offering a handshake and even posing for a quick photo.
Gentleman’s Cut was launched in 2023, established by Curry and Napa Valley winemaker John Schwartz. Their goal was to create a 90-proof bourbon aged between five to seven years in new charred white oak barrels.
Since launching his whiskey venture, Curry has played an active role in various aspects of the whiskey-making process, encompassing everything from manufacturing to aging.
The bourbon is the sixth flavor produced by Gentleman’s Cut and is crafted at a distillery located in Boone County, Independence, Kentucky.
According to sources, Curry aimed to craft a whiskey that would mark celebrations. “I’m proud to have carefully contributed to the creation of Gentleman’s Cut, a new signature Kentucky straight bourbon. This rich, complex, and bold bourbon is the perfect product to commemorate life’s great events and will be part of the raised-a-glass moments in the lives of my fans, friends, and family,” he noted.
As Curry looks toward the end of his basketball career, he may find a new path in the whiskey industry. With a recent contract extension, he’s set to remain with the Golden State Warriors through the end of the 2027 NBA season.
