Puppies Take Their Mom for a Walk
During a walk, it can be a little unclear who’s actually leading—us or our dogs. One particular dog mom found herself in a charmingly unique situation: her puppies were, quite literally, walking her. Yes, you read that right! She was completely at their mercy, and she handled it with grace.
This isn’t something you see every day. While it’s common to see a Golden Retriever with her pups, this particular scenario felt especially delightful.
The clip, shared by Golden Dog Farm in Vermont, is irresistibly adorable. Managing a lively group of puppies can’t be easy, but sometimes you just have to let them have their fun—even if it means they take charge!
In the video, three puppies were gripping the leash attached to their mom. Together, they trailed behind her, but no worries—she wasn’t moving too quickly, ensuring no one was left behind.
Mom appeared completely unfazed by her puppies’ grasp on the leash. She confidently strode ahead, fully aware of her role as the one in charge.
The video’s caption jokingly asked, “How many puppies does it take to walk a dog?” Quite a lot, apparently! But they were all pitching in to make it work.
Viewers in the comments were utterly charmed by the trio of Golden Retriever puppies. Their cuteness was hard to resist.
“Goldens are simply the best!” one user exclaimed.
Another added with a playful tone, “We’re following the leader, wherever she goes!”
One comment simply read, “So cuteeeee,” showing just how smitten everyone was.
When Can Puppies Go for Their First Outing?
One of the joys of having a puppy is getting to witness all their “firsts!”
It’s usually best to wait until your puppy has received their first vaccinations before taking them outside for the very first time—typically around 18 to 22 weeks. Socializing them is also crucial, as it helps build their confidence around both humans and other dogs. When the time comes, you can take them for a stroll—otherwise, they might just try to walk you!
