Jelly Roll Joins “Jimmy Kimmel Live” as Guest Host
Jelly Roll is set to make his return to late night television! The country music sensation has been selected as one of the guest hosts for “Jimmy Kimmel Live” during its two-month break.
In an episode of his ABC talk show, Kimmel announced his voluntary leave of absence, noting that it follows the cancellation of his show last September due to comments he made concerning Charlie Kirk’s death. “We’ve got a solid lineup of hosts stepping in while I’m away,” the comedian shared with the audience.
Kimmel mentioned that, to keep things interesting, he’s brought in a range of talents, including Tiffany Haddish, Coleman Domingo, Ike Barinholtz, Anthony Anderson, and, of course, Jelly Roll. He humorously added that he even invited Rosie O’Donnell, one of the President’s favorites, to keep the momentum going.
This announcement comes soon after it was revealed that the “Save Me” singer, 41, filed for divorce from Bunny Zoe, known as Alisa Carter, after a decade of marriage. The news broke just a few days before Jelly Roll’s new hosting gig, highlighting some significant changes in his personal life.
Documents obtained indicate that Jerry set the separation date for May 9, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the catalyst for the divorce. Last Monday, movers were seen outside their Tennessee home, signaling the end of an era for the couple.
Bunny has opened up about their split, recalling a heated argument on Mother’s Day that led her to suggest he file for divorce. She also shared that their attempts at IVF added strain to their relationship. Interestingly, both have publicly acknowledged the breakup. Despite this, Bunny mentioned that they both are still considering parenthood together, emphasizing their deep connection.
During a recent stop on their Little Us Shed tour in Saratoga Springs, they took a moment to address their split. Jerry referred to Bunny as his “best friend,” assuring fans that their bond remains strong. “We’ll always be best friends,” he remarked, adding that Bunny is likely to be the only woman who loves him as she does. He has dismissed rumors suggesting that infidelity played a role in their separation.
