Incident Involving Geno Smith
A woman contacted 911 on Sunday afternoon, stating that Geno Smith “hit me,” as indicated by police audio shared by the California Post on Tuesday. She identified herself as Smith’s ex-girlfriend and claimed she had just been assaulted by the Jets quarterback at his residence in Davie, Florida.
“My ex-boyfriend hit me,” she said, clearly upset during the call.
According to her, the incident occurred roughly an hour prior. She mentioned that it was captured on a home surveillance camera, but expressed concern that he likely deleted the footage. Interestingly, she also added that she didn’t require medical treatment.
The Davie Police Department confirmed that officers arrived at Smith’s home around 4:40 p.m. to look into the allegations, but no one was arrested at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
Details about the incident have not been fully disclosed by the police yet. A woman named Kristen had earlier made accusations against Smith on her Instagram account @everythingkrisxo on that Sunday afternoon.
In an 85-second video posted by Kristen, she accused Smith of hitting a 35-year-old woman, damaging her computer, and stealing her money while filming her outside her home.
In the video’s description, Kristen exclaimed, “Geno Smith beat my ass. I can’t leave him alone because he hates taking care of special needs kids and would rather watch sex online and play Call of Duty.”
As of now, Geno Smith has not made any public comments regarding these serious allegations. The Jets organization also refrained from providing any remarks when approached on Monday.
Following the viral nature of Kristen’s video, Smith’s ex-partner—who is also the mother of his young son, Seven—took to Instagram to defend him, highlighting his parenting abilities. She stated, “Geno has been and continues to be more than capable of caring for our son. Let’s cancel those stories. Don’t drag my son into a web of dysfunction.”
Smith rejoined the Jets in a trade from the Raiders in March and had previously played for New York from 2013 to 2016 after being drafted in the second round.
