East Coast Foodie Builds In-N-Out Replica at Home
For many folks on the East Coast, sharing the In-N-Out experience with family could mean a trek all the way to California. But for food influencer Grace Lewis, it inspired something a bit different. She crafted an entire drive-thru replica right in her New Jersey backyard.
Known for her popular page, Crazy Korean Cooking, Lewis amazed millions by transforming her front yard into a convincing imitation of the famous West Coast burger chain. This setup included drive-thru lanes, menu boards, uniforms, and even burger wrappers, allowing her parents to enjoy the full experience.
With 2.1 million followers on TikTok, Lewis’s videos have racked up an impressive 5.3 million views. In her content, she shares how to recreate menu items, products, and even branding. It’s quite the process.
Teaming up with her sister, Lewis prepared homemade ingredients, grinding the meat and making ketchup and Thousand Island sauce from scractch. She even whipped up American cheese and baked burger buns—all in her own kitchen.
Her parents participated fully, wearing replica uniforms and using custom printed cups and wrappers. They even renamed their pop-up “Out-N-In,” just to sidestep any trademark concerns.
At the makeshift drive-thru, her parents ordered a selection that included Double Double Animal Style, 4X4 Animal Style, and even a Vanilla Milkshake. They picked up their meal from the “window” on a classic red tray, which was wrapped in a palm tree motif.
This elaborate setup captured the attention of social media users, who seemed to gobble it up just as quickly as Lewis’s parents devoured the burgers. Comments flooded in with admiration; one user called it “the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” while another expressed joy in watching the family’s genuine reactions.
Some viewers even suggested her replica was better than the original. One commenter, identifying as a West Coaster, happily declared, “you nailed this.” It’s interesting how her parents unexpectedly stole the spotlight, becoming stars in their own right on her social media channels.
