A New Chapter for Aaliyah Kikumoto
Aaliyah Kikumoto, a former Texas Tech cheerleader, has recently made headlines again. This time, she’s stepping into a new role as a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins.
In an Instagram post, Kikumoto expressed her excitement: “It still feels surreal to be able to say this… I’m a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins 🧡🩵 Thank you to those who believed in me and gave me this chance!”
She went on to share her eagerness for the future, stating, “I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings and represent this organization on and off the field. This is truly a dream come true. I’m thankful for everyone’s support along the way.” It seems she’s genuinely thrilled about this opportunity.
Kikumoto’s journey into the NFL mirrors her mother’s path. AJ Kikumoto was a model and danced for the Denver Nuggets.
Recently, Aaliyah also shared some behind-the-scenes moments from her experiences with the Dolphins cheerleaders, posting a solo dance performance on social media.
She initially gained fame three years ago when the camera caught her during a crucial moment at the Masters, right behind Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka at Augusta National. The clip quickly went viral on TikTok, with one commenter noting how it felt like falling for someone from a brief encounter.
Her response was playful, sharing a laughter emoji and later posting a photo on Instagram about that fleeting moment.
In the wake of her rising popularity, Kikumoto has also modeled for BSX Media, represented Celsius Energy Drink, and partnered with Princess Polly, among other ventures.
Last year, she returned to the Masters with her family, but it wasn’t without its hiccups. A flight delay from her school in Lubbock, Texas, caused her to miss her connection to Augusta, and on top of that, her luggage was lost. Even so, she made it to the grounds of Augusta National.
