Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) is gearing up for one of its biggest events of the year—Slammiversary—taking place in Boston this Sunday night.
This event will showcase all of TNA’s championships, with highlights including the X Division Championship in an Ultimate X match and the TNA World Tag Team Championship in a four-way ladder match.
Slammiversary will be held at Agganis Arena, and the pre-show kicks off at 3 PM ET with the main card starting at 4 PM ET. Fans can catch all the action on TNA+ and PPV.com.
Here’s a look at some match previews and predictions.
Indi Hartwell vs. Mara Sade vs. Elaina Black
Two matches will precede the main event, the first being a triple threat featuring Indi Hartwell, Mara Sade, and Elaina Black. Everyone’s gunning for a win to get closer to a shot at the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
Prediction: Mara Sade takes this one and moves closer to the title.
Eric Young vs. Ricky Sosa
Ricky Sosa debuted in TNA back in March but quickly faced off against veteran Eric Young, who sidelined him for several weeks. Now that Sosa is back on “Impact,” his chance for revenge at Slammiversary awaits.
Prediction: Ricky Sosa will outmaneuver Eric Young.
AJ Francis vs. Elijah
AJ Francis has been making waves on “Impact,” striking deals that even include Elijah’s music rights—a move that caught the latter off guard. This rivalry is bound to boil over at Slammiversary, with big stakes on the line.
Prediction: Elijah overthrows Francis.
Heather Bye Elegance and M. Bye Elegance (c) vs. Rosemary & Allie – TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship Match
The Elegance Brand is buzzing in TNA. Heather and M. Bye Elegance fought hard to secure their championship against I-Inspiration earlier this year. In the meantime, Rosemary and Allie have formed a formidable pairing and are riding high on momentum.
Prediction: Rosemary and Allie take the victory.
Ultimate X Match for the X Division Championship
The Ultimate X match is a true spectacle in TNA. Six men will compete for the X Division Championship, which is dangling above the arena. It’s wild—anything can happen. Cedric Alexander will defend his title against a lineup that includes Amazing Red, Leon Slater, Frankie Kazarian, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro, and Mr. Elegance.
Prediction: Look for Cedric Alexander to keep things thrilling.
Mustafa Ali Open Challenge for TNA International Championship
There’s speculation buzzing about who will step up to challenge Mustafa Ali for the TNA International Championship. Ali has proven his worth, recently besting Trey Miguel at Rebellion, but this next challenge might be tough, especially with Tasha Steels and Special Agent Zero in the mix.
Prediction: The unidentified challenger will take down Ali.
Eddie Edwards vs. Moose
This match is marked by a deep-seated grudge. Eddie Edwards and his team had Moose sidelined for a while after a surprise attack. Moose has since re-emerged, ready for payback.
Prediction: Moose comes out on top against Eddie Edwards.
Lei Ying Li (c) vs. Shea Brookside – TNA Knockouts World Championship
This rivalry ignited after Lei Ying Li defeated Ariana Grace for the title, and Shea Brookside wasted no time stepping up as a challenger. Their relationship took a hit earlier this year, and now it’s personal.
Prediction: Lei Ying Li will retain her championship.
Ladder match for TNA World Tag Team Championship
After a disappointing loss, the Hardy brothers look to regain their footing in this four-way ladder match. They’ll face Bear Bronson and Brian Myers, the defending champions, alongside other contenders. It’s bound to be chaotic.
Prediction: The Righteous will seize the tag titles.
Mike Santana (c) vs. Nick Nemeth – TNA World Championship
Nick Nemeth is set to challenge Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship. After waiting for his chance, he now finds himself facing a champion who has been at the top since last year’s Bound for Glory. Santana has certainly made his mark, but Nemeth is looking for another title reign.
Prediction: Nick Nemeth will end Santana’s championship reign.
