Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children might cancel their trip to the UK after being refused security paid by taxpayers.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan might not be making their way back to the UK next month due to a denial of taxpayer-funded security, as reported.

A source indicated that their plans to see family and friends, along with visiting charities dear to the Duke, fell apart at the last minute.

According to insiders, the Duke of Sussex is “considering all options” regarding how to ensure the safety of Meghan and their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, during the visit.

“If he can find a way to do it, he will,” the source mentioned.

The couple intended to travel with their kids to reunite with Prince Harry’s grandfather, Charles III, who is reportedly battling cancer.

At 41, Prince Harry is said to be “distraught” over this news, not wanting his children to endure constant paparazzi attention from the moment they arrive.

Another source remarked that the Sussexes had communicated their plans, mentioning accommodations that align with their royal status, but this decision was apparently reversed almost immediately.

Spokespeople for both Buckingham Palace and the Sussexes were unavailable for comment at this time.

Meanwhile, insiders disclosed that Meghan and Harry, who spend around $3 million annually on their own security, are expected to arrange private security for this trip, preparing for a significant public presence.

While they had hoped for continuous armed security, it seems that such arrangements would only be feasible within royal residences.

Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Prince Harry and former Suits cast members lost their public security support.

Due to these changes, he has hesitated to travel to the UK with his family, feeling unsafe, although he continues to challenge this decision.
