America’s 250th Anniversary Tribute

As part of the America 250 coverage, a special section called America’s Tribute showcases original videos from members of Parliament, Cabinet, and government officials. All themes center around a shared love for the country.

In a video message, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) shared her thoughts on America’s “guiding principles” as the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary.

“There’s just so much to appreciate about our wonderful country. Think about it: our foundational principles of faith, family, freedom, hope, and opportunity have supported us for 250 years,” Blackburn commented.

She expressed her belief that the United States is the finest nation in the world, highlighting Tennessee as the best state within it.

“Not only is the United States the greatest country on earth, but Tennessee stands out as the greatest state in the nation,” she added. “Here, you can dream big and see those dreams realized. We want that for our families as they cherish their freedom and pursue their own versions of the American dream.”

The excitement for America’s 250th anniversary is palpable across Washington and the nation, with Blackburn being a prominent advocate for this significant occasion.

“As we celebrate 250 years since the founding of our great nation, we’re entering America’s Golden Age, full of blessings and achievements to commemorate,” she expressed in a New Year’s Day post.

Various events marking the anniversary are set to take place throughout the summer in the capital. On June 14, President Donald Trump will hold the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House, showcasing several bouts, including a highlighted lightweight match between Ilya Topria and Justin Gaethje.

The Freedom 250 will also feature the Great American State Fair on the National Mall from June 25 to July 10, with unique festivities planned for each of the 16 days. Among the attractions is a towering 110-foot Ferris wheel, offering a special view of the mall, as well as celebrations for the Fourth of July and Independence Day.

In August, the NTT IndyCar Series will host the Freedom 250 Grand Prix around the National Mall.
