Authorities: Man Kills Girlfriend and Dies While Trying to Dispose of Her Body in the Woods

Alabama Man Dies Following Girlfriend’s Death

A man from Chambers County, Alabama, is reported to have killed his girlfriend and then suffered a heart attack while trying to conceal her body, according to local authorities.

The individuals involved have been identified as 44-year-old Daniel Robbins from Georgia and 47-year-old Jessica Falls from Alabama. Reports indicate that Robbins was in a relationship with Falls, as stated by Chambers County District Attorney Mike Segrest.

On June 10, the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office shared on social media that deputies were sent to investigate a vehicle parked on County Road 85. Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased man and woman in a wooded area nearby.

Segrest mentioned that both individuals were found at the scene. It seems Robbins was attempting to dispose of Falls’ body when he experienced a fatal heart attack.

Investigators have determined that Falls had been strangled. It appears Robbins may have been trying to take her body to a more isolated location.

Sheriff Jeff Nelson said the location where the bodies were discovered did not appear to be the actual murder scene. The vehicle was found on the roadway with the lights on and the driver’s door open. Authorities discovered Falls positioned with her hands above her head and Robbins curled up beside her. Notably, drag marks were visible at the scene.

An autopsy confirmed Falls died from strangulation, while Robbins’ death was attributed to a heart attack that occurred at the site.

A passerby initially thought the two unresponsive people were mannequins when he reported finding them near the roadside.

This incident mirrors another case from 2022. Investigators discovered that Robbins had a pre-existing heart condition, according to information shared by his ex-wife.

The Alabama Department of Law Enforcement’s State Bureau of Investigation has taken the lead on the case, collaborating with the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI. Officials believe the tragic incident stemmed from a domestic dispute, noting that Falls’ body was located several miles from her residence.

Jessica Falls leaves behind three adult sons, and Daniel Robbins has a daughter whose age is not currently known.
