Texas Woman Arrested for Violent Crime

A woman from Texas has been arrested in connection with a violent shooting and stabbing in San Angelo. Authorities claim that 31-year-old Audrey Troncoso shot and dismembered a man on Tuesday, subsequently hiding his remains in a trash can.

On Thursday, the police apprehended her father, Mario Valdes Troncoso, on suspicion of helping his daughter by tampering with or fabricating evidence. He is believed to have assisted in disposing of the victim’s body.

Audrey Troncoso was taken into custody on Wednesday after law enforcement began investigating a potential homicide in the 1400 block of Parker Street. The investigation yielded enough evidence for authorities to charge her with the murder of 34-year-old Roland Matthew Shepard.

According to police, Audrey Troncoso shot Shepard in the face and stabbed him multiple times, resulting in his death. It is alleged that she attempted to conceal and dispose of his body following the incident.

Investigators later located Shepard’s body after conducting a search at the Republic Services Landfill on Old Ballinger Highway. Parts of his remains were reportedly taken to the landfill after being retrieved from a dumpster elsewhere in San Angelo.

Audrey Troncoso is currently in custody at the Tom Green County Jail, with bail set at $2 million. Following additional information, authorities announced her father’s arrest on Thursday. Mario Valdez Troncoso is facing charges related to the concealment and disposal of the victim’s remains.

In a news conference on Wednesday, San Angelo Police Chief Travis Griffiths stated that there was an established relationship between the victim and the suspect. He noted that such homicides are relatively rare in San Angelo, adding that the investigation is both complex and ongoing.
