LeBron James worked out and showed off his toned abs just hours before the Lakers announcement became public.

In the moments leading up to the big reveal about his future, LeBron James seemed focused on one thing: pushing himself in training.

Just before the news broke that he wouldn’t be donning the Lakers’ colors in 2026, James shared several videos on his Instagram. They showed him enjoying his workout, looking relaxed and engaged in the gym.

As he worked up a sweat to Jeezy’s “Go Hard,” he even removed his shirt for some plyometric exercises at one point.

Taking a quick break, he snapped a mirror selfie, showcasing his toned physique and impressive abs.

In the caption, he declared, “Good luck or go home.” It was a motivational moment, typical of his determined spirit.

Interestingly, James mentioned that he hit the gym around 5:51 a.m., shortly before his agent, Rich Paul, announced to the media that James’ time with the Lakers was coming to an end.

Reportedly, the Lakers were looking to bring him back, but James appears set on exploring other options in 2026.

Since joining the Lakers in 2018, he played a significant role in helping them capture the 2020 NBA Championship. His eight seasons in Los Angeles have been marked with consistent All-Star selections and impressive averages—26.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game.

Looking ahead, it’s uncertain where James will land next. With NBA free agency kicking off later today, teams like the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, and Cleveland Cavaliers are regarded as potential new homes for the league’s all-time leading scorer.
