Dismissed trans Democratic campaigner encourages supporters to 'eliminate your local Republican' and pledges 'trans jihad'

A transgender activist, who once volunteered for a Democratic congressional candidate in Wisconsin, has issued violent threats against Republicans. In a series of concerning social media videos, she expressed intentions to initiate a “trans jihad” against what she referred to as the “animals” of the MAGA movement.

In one video, Teja de Laruelle, who briefly volunteered for Wisconsin Democratic Socialist Katrina Deville—also transgender—displays a whiteboard with the phrase “Kill Your Local Republicans” written in bold letters.

“We’re going to make this a moderate position for Wisconsin,” De Lael asserts, gesturing at the disturbing message. “But we need your help. We have one month to do it,” she continues, flashing a thumbs-up.

This timeline likely coincides with Deville’s upcoming Democratic primary on August 11, where she and two other candidates aim to unseat a Republican incumbent aligned with Trump.

In another troubling video, Dera El, a biological male identifying as female, features a trans flag alongside a rifle, stating, “Just to be clear, we are waging a trans jihad.”

“It’s about targeting oppressors, bigots, and the ‘animals’ that make up MAGA,” De Lael incoherently conveys. For years, she laments, marginalized groups have lived in fear, but that’s supposedly changing now.

“We’re going to ensure they live in anxiety and fear. This isn’t just temporary; this is their new reality,” she vows, before gesturing for “peace” with two fingers.

In a recent blog post, De Lael reiterated her view on the supposed ongoing “genocide” against the trans and queer community, claiming war is the only response. “Society wants our complete annihilation. Therefore, we must destroy their society. We must answer this call,” she proclaimed, framing it as an existential struggle.

On Thursday, Deville clarified that De Lael was a volunteer for only a very brief period before being removed due to “serious issues.” Deville expressed concern that De Lael’s actions posed a danger to her campaign and reiterated her stand against violence. “I do not accept or condone violence or intimidation towards anyone,” Deville emphasized, adding that such threats have made her life more perilous.

She hopes De Lael finds help and peace amidst this troubling situation and that no harm comes from it.

De Lael has not yet responded to requests for comment.
