Winco Fireworks Recalls Over 100,000 Fireworks Due to Safety Risks

Winco Fireworks International has issued a recall for more than 100,000 of its fireworks sold in the United States, following alerts from federal safety regulators regarding risks of unintended explosions and burns.

This recall was made public by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on July 2nd. It involves about 87,120 units of the Unity 7 Shot 200 Gram Aerial Cake fireworks and approximately 13,500 packs of Roman Candles that come with 8 shots, imported by a company located in Grandview, Missouri.

The CPSC noted that the Unity 7 Shot 200 Gram Aerial Cake fireworks have a tendency to tip over during use, which can lead to serious injuries due to the associated hazards of explosions and burns.

The second recall concerns the 8-shot Roman Candles, which may malfunction, causing shots to fire off the side of the tube, leading to similar explosion and burn risks.

So far, there have been no incidents or injuries connected to either of these products.

These fireworks were sold at Pyrocity stores and other fireworks retailers throughout the country. The Unity fireworks, identified by model MEF6096, feature red, white, and blue packaging with an American flag design. They were available for purchase from January to May 2026, priced between $6 and $8.

Meanwhile, the Roman Candles, model RCLR-W8012, also sported red, white, and blue “hometown” packaging featuring the American flag. These were sold from April to June 2026 at a price range of $17 to $19.

The CPSC has advised consumers to stop using the recalled fireworks immediately and return them to the point of purchase for a full refund, either in cash or via the original payment method.

It’s important to remember that federal law prohibits the sale of any products that are either under a Commission-ordered recall or a voluntary recall issued with the CPSC’s collaboration.
