Midland States Bank Promotes Aaron Myers

Midland States Bank has announced that Aaron Myers has been promoted to market president for the Effingham area and nearby regions. In this new capacity, Mr. Myers will lead the regional commercial banking team, focusing on building and maintaining important customer relationships while fostering growth through collaboration across Midland’s various business sectors, including commercial, consumer, and wealth management.

Mr. Myers brings nearly three decades of banking experience to the table, particularly in commercial lending and relationship management, where he has over 20 years of expertise.

Since he started with Effingham State Bank in 1998, Myers has held various positions with increasing levels of responsibility, including Bank Supervisor, Director of Consumer Finance, and Director of Credit Analysis. Most recently, he served as Senior Team Leader and Commercial Relations Manager. His comprehensive experience encompasses commercial lending, credit analysis, portfolio management, and profitability modeling, giving him a solid grasp of both the banking sector and local business needs.

Active in the Effingham community, Mr. Myers is currently on the boards of the Effingham County Salvation Army and the Effingham County Crisis Nursery School. He also volunteers as a baseball and basketball coach for youth sports. His previous roles include serving on the board of the Effingham Performance Center, reflecting his commitment to enhancing the quality of life and economic well-being in the region.

Myers holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from McKendree University and has completed various banking education programs, including those focused on commercial lending, residential real estate lending, and basic consumer lending.
