There's a possibility of a penalty shootout, but I'm leaning toward the under side in this matchup. Both teams are leaning toward the under this season, with the Longhorns going 8-5 against the under (including five of their last six games) and the Huskies going 6-7 against the under.
Given that both teams have had a long break since early December, the month-long layoff could affect the offensive rhythm and lead to a slow start. The well-rested defense had plenty of time to prepare and was able to take advantage of the rustiness of the offense.
Expect Texas' solid defense to contribute to a low-scoring game. The Longhorns have only exceeded 62.5 points total in three of 13 games this season, while Washington has done so in six of 13 games.
Additionally, the Huskies may struggle on the ground against Texas' fearsome run defense, which ranks fourth in rushing yards allowed per game (81.1) and fifth in yards per rush (2.9).
