Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was spotted entering the Philadelphia Eagles' home stadium Sunday wearing a Sidney Crosby sweater, and appeared to be wearing a hockey jersey to make fun of the Eagles. .
Crosby is widely considered one of the greatest NHL players of this generation. He has spent his entire storied career with the Philadelphia Flyers' longtime top rival, the Pittsburgh Penguins.
So Murray's decision to arrive at Lincoln Financial Field, which is in the same sports complex as the Flyers Arena, could certainly be interpreted as a jab at the Eagles.

Murray backed up his subtle message by orchestrating an improbable comeback to lead the Cardinals to a 35-31 upset victory over the Eagles. Murray finished the game with 232 passing yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.

First-year Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon entered the game with a fair amount of knowledge about Arizona's opponent. Gannon spent the past two seasons as the Eagles' defensive coordinator.
With the unexpected loss, the Eagles wasted an opportunity to secure the NFC's top seed. The San Francisco 49ers will advance to the playoffs as the No. 1 seed.
On Tuesday, Crosby was asked about Murray being seen wearing Penguins gear. The nine-time NHL All-Star had a sarcastic response that suggested he wanted to know more about Murray's pregame attire.
“I'd like to know the story behind it. I have some ideas, but it would be great to hear the story behind it.”
Some hockey and football fans took to the X in response to Murray's fashion choices.
“Hahaha this is awesome. Sid owns Philly,” one user replied to a video showing Murray walking near the visitors' locker room.
Another social media user wrote: “We need more players doing things like this.”

“I'm all for trolling Philadelphia. This is a great way to do it,” one social media user wrote, along with several laughing emojis.
The Eagles will look to get back on a winning streak when they close out the regular season in East Rutherford, New Jersey, against their divisional rival, the New York Giants.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals will host the Seahawks on January 2nd in their final game of the regular season.
