Father And Son Arrested In Connection To Pregnant Teen And Boyfriend’s Murders

A father and son have been arrested in connection with the murders of a pregnant Texas teen and her boyfriend.

On Wednesday, 19-year-old Christopher Preciado and his father, Ramon Preciado, 53, were arrested and charged with the murders of pregnant teenager Savana Soto and her boyfriend, Matthew Guerra.

Christopher was charged with secret murder, and his father was charged with abuse of a corpse.

San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) announced on December 26th that the cellphone had been recovered.th The location where the victim's body was found and helped lead to the suspect.

According to the arrest affidavit, Guerra went to Christopher's house on the night of December 21st to sell marijuana.cent.

Police maintain that Christopher Preciado was the only killer in the case. His father helped hide the body, SAPD said.

Guerra's car was driven by Christopher to an apartment on Danny Kaye Street, where her body was discovered five days later, the affidavit said.

Based on surveillance footage released by police, Ramon Preciado told detectives he drove his pickup to an apartment complex to meet his son.

Additionally, Ramon recognized himself on surveillance footage as someone who had gotten out of a pickup truck and was “intentionally disposing of a human corpse.”

When San Antonio police found Soto and Guerra's bodies in a car, one of the victims' cellphones became a key piece of evidence that helped track down the suspects, police said.

Officers then conducted surveillance at a home where the suspect's vehicle was believed to be less than a mile from where the body was found.

The affidavit states that when police came to the home, Ramon opened the door and said he knew why police were there.

The victim's family reportedly told police that Guerra was selling drugs through his cell phone and social media.

Guerra shared images of the cash and drugs on Instagram. According to his affidavit, “people tried to rob (Mr. Guerra)” and “he had been shot before.”

Given the fact that Soto was expecting to give birth at the time of her death, SAPD said it will work with the Bexar County District Attorney's Office to determine additional charges.

Ramon's bond is set at $100,000 and Christopher's bond is set at $1,000,000.
