Colorado voters file response to Trump appeal

Colorado voters want to remove Donald Trump from the state's ballot Thursday, following the former president's appeal, asking the U.S. Supreme Court to remove him from the next term's ballot.

“The court should decline President Trump's invitation to review the Colorado Supreme Court's interpretation of Colorado election law,” the court filing states.

The Supreme Court originally gave Colorado voters a deadline of Feb. 5 to file a response to Trump's appeal, but the voter plaintiffs said the court would quickly hear and decide the issue. I hope that.

The justices have not yet decided whether to expedite consideration of Colorado voters' appeal.
