New woke ‘Star Wars’ movie announcement final nail in coffin

Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy may have made a fatal mistake.

President Kennedy is focusing on further awakening Star Wars by appointing Pakistani activist Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy to direct the new “Rey'' movie starring Daisy Ridley.

The liberal media is overjoyed to announce that Obaid-Chinoy is the first woman and person of color to direct a Star Wars movie.

Obeid-Chinoy similarly told CNN that because “we're in 2024,” she believes “it's time for women to come forward and help shape the story in a galaxy far, far away.” he said.

Others are less excited.

“'Star Wars' has ceded its $67 billion empire, including what's left of it, to feminists,” laughs Dave Rubin, referring to Kathleen Kennedy, who has run Star Wars for the past 10 years. “It was basically completely destroyed,” he said.

Evolutionary biologist Colin Wright completely agrees.

“They're just injecting movement directly into their movies,” he told Rubin, adding that the problem with “woke ideologues” is that “they just can't make movies that embody their vision.” he added. They have to make films explicitly about the movement itself. ”

“If you want to challenge the norm, write strong female characters. This has been done in ways that don't center around activism,” Wright continued, citing Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games as an example. listed.

“The last thing Star Wars needs to do is continue down this activist path. Just write good characters and good stories,” he added.
