He was released the same day, according to jail records.
Jason Boebert did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
It's unclear what happened at Miner's Claim Restaurant, but Boebert's campaign released a statement Sunday saying that Boebert “did not punch Jason in the face and no one was arrested.” I intend to consult with my attorney regarding the false allegations he has made against me and consider all legal options. ”
Jason Boebert did not respond to earlier requests for comment from The Associated Press, but previously told The Denver Post that he called police Sunday morning and said he did not want to press charges.

Boebert, a Republican who served two terms in the U.S. House representing western Colorado, announced on Dec. 27 that she would redistrict this year and run for the seat representing the eastern part of the state.
The seat is vacant due to the retirement of Republican U.S. Representative Ken Buck.
In her current district, Boebert would likely have faced a Democratic challenger who nearly defeated her in the 2022 general election and who rated her far higher.
In September, Boebert and a guest complained that guests were causing a disturbance by vaping, singing and using phones at a musical performance of “Beetlejuice” in Denver. , and was kicked out of the venue. She later apologized.
In her relatively short time in Washington, Boebert has built a national profile and aligned herself with the far right wing of the Republican Party.
Her aggressive style has grabbed headlines, most famously when she heckled President Joe Biden during the 2022 State of the Union address.
