Nikki Haley scoffed at the suggestion that former presidents have complete immunity from prosecution for crimes for which they were not impeached and removed from office. This is a key argument Donald Trump's defense team is making in order to get two charges against him dismissed.
“That's crazy. That's just ridiculous. I mean, you have to use common sense here. You can't go and kill your political opponents and claim immunity. [as] It’s the president,” she said.

“I think the D.C. Circuit is going to rule against Donald Trump on this issue. I don't know exactly what the outer limit is. I don't think it necessarily got litigated. “We're always going to follow the Constitution, so that doesn't matter,” he said.
“We intend to uphold the highest traditions of the office,” he added. “[Trump’s] He will ultimately be tried before a left-wing D.C. jury made up of all Democrats. ”
