Last week, a massive fire broke out at NFL All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill's Florida home base. The Miami Dolphins star was practicing when the fire broke out.
Davie Fire Rescue later determined the fire was an “unintentional and accidental” incident caused by a child playing with a lighter inside the home. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire shortly after arriving at the Southwest Ranch home last Wednesday. Southwest Ranches is located approximately 37 miles west of Fort Lauderdale.
But on a recent episode of HBO's “Hard Knocks,” Hill spoke about the extensive damage the fire left behind.
“It's over,” Hill told his teammates. “The house is finished, brother. Smoke damage, fire damage, the entire upper floor is gutted.”

“We are very grateful to the firefighters who put out the fire,” he continued. “Fortunately, the fire was contained to a limited area of the house. Of course there would be smoke and water damage, but obviously it would be very difficult for anyone to catch a house on fire. Tyreke took care of it. He and his family handled it with as much calm as you could hope for.”
