Authorities responded to a bomb threat to the home of the judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's New York civil fraud case as closing arguments in the trial are scheduled to begin Thursday.
Court officials confirmed to The Associated Press on Thursday that police are investigating an incident of intimidation at the home of Judge Arthur Engoron on Long Island.
“There was a threat. We can confirm the bomb threat,” court spokesman Al Baker told The Associated Press. “At this point, things are proceeding as planned, with court proceedings and closing arguments proceeding as scheduled.”
The New York Attorney General's Office also confirmed that the trial will continue as scheduled.
The Nassau County Police Department told The Hill they responded to a “swatting incident” in Great Neck Gardens on Long Island, but did not confirm the name.
