Speaker of the House Mike Johnson meets OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was on Capitol Hill Thursday to discuss what role Congress should play in legislating artificial intelligence.
“It was a very good meeting,” Johnson told reporters afterward. “We talked about where we stand in terms of Congress’s approach to AI.”
He said the House and Senate had a “very thoughtful discussion” about how to move forward in a bipartisan manner.
