In this week's corner jesse watters prime timethe host played a video that appeared to show a Pentagon official proposing making Swift an asset to combat so-called misinformation.
However, the official was not a Pentagon employee and was a research engineer with no known ties to the U.S. military. The person was giving a presentation about how misinformation spreads online.
When speaking about this theory, Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said she would “shake it off.”
Swift has been outspoken about her political beliefs in recent years. She supported Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
