Nikki Haley More Concerned with Ukraine Border than Southern Border

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who recently made it clear that Haley should not be president, said in an interview that Nikki Haley is from the “McCain, Dick Cheney, Mitch McConnell party.” Told. Breitbart News SaturdayThe former South Carolina governor said he was more concerned about the Ukrainian border than the U.S. border.

Paul explained why he formally opposed Haley this week, citing Haley's comments during the presidential primary debate.

“When I watched the debate and heard Nikki Haley's response about our border and the Ukrainian border, I think she's more concerned about the Ukrainian border than the southern border,” Paul said. “And that's really the problem.”

Paul explained that Haley's position puts her in “the same camp, the same camp as Sen. McConnell.” [with Sen. Chuck] Mr. Schumer is in the same camp as Mr. Biden. They're all in this together,” Paul explained, adding that their “number one priority” is Ukraine.

“First of all, this is Ukraine. Right now, Mr. McConnell is kind of cornered in that he has to do something at the border. What they're offering at the border is going to be sold out. They. What they're proposing at the border is to let in 5,000 migrants every day. And once they reach 5,000, they're going to put some sort of rule in place. So essentially, 1.8 million migrants a year. “You're allowing immigrants into the country. And they try to put in place some rules after the fact,” Paul said.

As for Haley, he added, “She's been the biggest supporter of sending money to Ukraine.”

But it's not just Ukraine, Paul said, explaining that foreign aid has long been important to Haley throughout her political career.

“This isn't just about Ukraine. Her work at the United Nations has written a book about how sending foreign aid to countries other than the United States is a major priority. And the problem is that 1 trillion a year… So you're running a deficit of more than a dollar. To send money abroad, you actually just print it, you know, to send money to Ukraine you have to borrow from China. Just Ukraine. It's all over Africa. It's all over the Middle East. Believe it or not, we're still sending money to the Palestinians. So all of this is insane. I think so.

“But people need to know that she comes from a partisan background, not a liberal one,” Paul said. “She comes from the McCain, Dick Cheney, Mitch McConnell wing of the party, and you know, the whole establishment is making a big fuss about Nikki Haley,” he said, adding that Haley “is a 'chance' in New Hampshire. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie withdrew from the race this week.

“I've decided I'm not ready to support a candidate. But at this point, I'm just going to sit silently on the sidelines and let people know what a terrible candidate Nikki Haley is.” I certainly didn’t want to,” he added.
