White House Swatted by ‘Prank Caller’ Claiming Residence on Fire

Fire trucks and ambulances reportedly rushed to the White House around 7 a.m. Monday morning after a “prank call” reported that the house was on fire and someone was trapped inside.

The incident is representative of recent attacks on political officials. The dangerous swatting event appears to have been initially instigated by Democratic Party prank calls to political opponents.

A prank call to the White House prompted fire trucks and ambulances to rush to the snow-covered White House, the Daily Mail reported. report.

Upon arrival, the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services and the U.S. Secret Intelligence Service determined the incident was a false alarm.

“A fire has broken out at the White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,” a Washington, D.C., dispatcher announced at 7:04 a.m.

Authorities issued a “total cancellation” order at 7:15 a.m.

President Joe Biden was at Camp David on Monday morning, far from his official residence.

Officials told CNN that authorities determined the prank call was clearly a spoofed phone number.

“The person who contacted the callback number for the 911 call indicated it was not the person who made the call, sources told The Associated Press, indicating a high likelihood of impersonation,” the Daily Mail reported. “It suggests that.”

Politicians who have recently received Swads include Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), as well as celebrities Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber, Including Kim Kardashian.
