“However, this commercial targets families with a liberal LGBTQ agenda and is airing during prime viewing hours on a variety of channels that families often watch.”
The group said it continues to uphold Biblical truth and called homosexuality “unnatural and immoral.” Romans 1:26-27.
As of Tuesday, the petition had more than 12,000 signatures.
eHarmony, founded in 2000 by evangelical Christian Dr. Neil Clark Warren, was sued in 2007 for failing to serve gays, lesbians, and bisexuals. At the time, Los Angeles Superior Court filed a lawsuit on behalf of Linda Carlson, accusing eHarmony of discrimination based on sexual orientation. Ms. Carlson also claimed that eHarmony denied her access to its dating platform, citing policies that discriminated against her.
as christian post Warren previously reported in a 2013 interview that she told Yahoo Finance that the same-sex marriage debate was hurting the company. He also cited a 2008 settlement reached in a New Jersey Division of Civil Rights discrimination lawsuit. At the time, Warren faced backlash from the Christian community after launching Compatible Partners, a service for same-sex couples, in response to the lawsuit.
