Woman shares the hilarious video she sent her boss while in labor

In what may be the epitome of a strong work ethic, soon-to-be mom Tamara Drupich is setting the internet on fire by sharing a video she sent to her boss from the labor room.

“Hello, thanks for checking in!” Tamara announces, wearing a hospital gown and cheering from excitement and fentanyl.

She continued, “Actually, I'm having a baby tonight. I'm on fentanyl right now because of the epidural.”

“But it arrived much faster than I expected. But don't worry, I'll have your email ready. If you have any questions about One Note, please let me know.”

This is definitely not your typical out-of-office message, but rather evidence of working moms' amazing (and somewhat bizarre) ability to multitask.

Forget that you are in the middle of a life-changing moment. You have to send emails, update projects, and answer One Note questions.

As much as we laugh, we can't ignore the underlying reality this video shows: the unrelenting reality of hustle and work culture that can creep into even the most personal of moments.

This sentiment resonated with many, as one user pointed out, “The ultimate office worker!”

“This was me. A week before I left Matt, I was hospitalized at 35 weeks. I was dictating emails to my husband because my hands were so swollen from the medication that I couldn't type,” another said. said.

“This happened when I was in the hospital after a car accident. Work said, 'Send me the evidence,'” another user shared.

And this person made a joke. “This is the adult equivalent of kids in my kindergarten giving me too much information about their parents' private lives. Hahaha.”

Tamara responded with a follow-up comment that adds another layer to this surreal scenario.

“Oh, it's going to get worse. It's so embarrassing. So I, a big, pregnant woman, waddled into the delivery room with my laptop and said, 'Can I work on my laptop from there?' ?” Imagine asking. My height is 8 cm and I am asked to work in the delivery room. So, yeah, it's very, very American. ”
