The 2024 Republican primary is in full swing, with former President Donald Trump continuing to maintain a commanding lead over Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

This is a snapshot of the state of play in the battle for Republican control.

Number of participants After Iowa:

  2. DeSantis: 9

Delegates needed to win: 1,215

Remaining representatives: 2,389

1 new vote: New New Hampshire polls show Trump holding a double-digit lead over Haley in the Granite State's nearly two-way race. Polls show Trump has 50% support among likely voters in New Hampshire's Republican presidential primary next Tuesday. Haley is in second place with an approval rating of 36%, and DeSantis is a distant third with 6%.

There is one new endorsement: Texas Sen. Ted Cruz endorsed Donald Trump for president Tuesday night and called for the nation to unite behind the Republican front-runner.

“I'm proud to support Donald Trump for president of the United States,” Cruz said on “Hannity.” I would like to enthusiastically support them.
